Day 01: Australia Hanoi

Fly to Hanoi. Welcome to the capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival you will be met & being transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Hanoi.

Enjoy a full day guided tour to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, President Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilt, One-pillar Pagoda, the first University in Vietnam, Ethnology Museum; Watch the traditional Water puppet show and take a Cyclo trip in bustling shopping precinct. This evening take the overnight train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train (4 berth sleeper). (B/L/D).

Arrive Lao Cai and transfer to Sapa town. Join in the local trekking for 12 kilometres, visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’mong minority. Having lunch at a local family and continue hiking to Ta Van village and meet hill tribe people. Stay overnight at Dzay family house. (B/L/D)

Today take 14 km walking to visit 2 villages of the red Dzao, the H’mong. See a beautiful waterfall and rattan bridge. Overnight at a hotel in Sapa. (B/L/D)

Today explore and walk in the colorful Sunday Market at Bac Ha. Go for a light trek and visit Ban Pho, home to flower H’mong minority. Later transfer to the station and board the train to Hanoi. Overnight on train (4 berth sleeper). (B/L/D).

Arrive Hanoi, journey to Halong Bay, embark the junk boat smoothly gliding through numerous limestone islands that emerging unevenly from emerald green water. Visit Amazing Cave, one of the most beautiful caves. Stay overnight on boat. (B/L/D)

Enjoy sunrise on board, learn Tai Chi exercises on sundeck, and experience wonderful kayaking on the Bay. Return to Hanoi and board the overnight train to Hue. Stay on train. ( 4 berth soft sleeper). (B/L/-)

Arrive in Hue and relax. Later visit the Imperial Citadel Complex of Hue, Hue Capital Citadel, Royal Citadel and Forbidden Citadel. Overnight at hotel in Hue. (B)

Today head to Bao Vinh old wharf for a boat cruise on Perfume River. Visit Sinh village by bike, see Thien Mu pagoda and huy Bieu village. This afternoon explore the Royal Tomb of Tu Duc. Stay overnight in Hue. (B/L/-)

The coastal drive from Hue to Hoi An takes you through the unique combination of rural, mountainous and coastal settings. En route visit Cham museum and Marble Mountain. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An. (B)

Visit My Son Sanctuary, the “Valley of Kings. Take boat trip on Thu Bon River, pass Duy Hai fishing village, and disembark in the old town for a short stroll. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An. (B/L-)

Fly to Saigon. Overnight at hotel in HCM City. (B)

Visit Notre Dame Cathedral, Center Post Office Building, Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. Drive to Cu Chi Tunnels, a network of over 200km of tunnels with a vital role in the War. Overnight at hotel in HCM City. (B/L)

Drive to My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a boat ride to An Khanh, and enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of the water coconut trees along natural canals. Proceed to Can Tho. Overnight at homestay. (B/L/D)

Today’s highlight is to experience Cai Răng floating market, wander around the local village and meet the friendly local people, visit the orchard garden. Proceed to Chau Doc, continue on to Tra Su, cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest, watching storks, cranes and other tropical birds. Overnight in Chau Doc. (B/L)

Take the speed boat across the border to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. After immigration process, enjoy a city tour including Toul Sleng Genocide Museum the National Museum, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and then Wat Phnom. Stay overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh. (B/-/D)

Take Mekong Express Bus to Siem Reap (07.30am – 13.30pm). Explore the legendary Angkor Wat. Tonight watch the traditional Apsara dance show. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap. (B/-/D)

Visit the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm, enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure. Explore the ancient capital of Angkor Thom See the South Gate, Bayon Temple, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Overnight in Siem Reap. (B/L)

This morning visit the famous Banteay Srei, embark on the traditional wooden boat winding through the flooded forests of the Great Tonle Sap Lake. Later transfer to the airport for flight home. (B/L)
